Dollar Car Rental- An Option
Not everyone owns a car. Sometimes even car owners are without their car. This could be while on a vacation, or while their car is being repaired. Some folks try to avoid long trips in their own car. They want to avoid the miles of wear and tear on their own vehicle. That’s when Dollar car rentals are useful.
Consider this. You’re a suburbanite. Your job is inside the city. You live near the railroad station. A car would just sit around in a parking lot, so what have it? Nobody drives the car while you’re at work. Run errands on Saturday. On that day a car can be rented from a company like Dollar or Budget or Avis. After running all the errands and seeing a play, bring it back on Sunday. You now have a car for $20 for your full requirements. Compare that cost – $20 for a day over the course of 52 weeks is $1040 – to the purchase price of a car plus all the associated costs like maintenance, insurance, registration, emissions, and more which add up to thousands of dollars each year. Renting a car is a real bargain.
For people who need the car every day, a purchase is a better option. Maybe the kids have a lot of activities and need a chauffeur. It may be impossible to visit all the shops on a train. That’s the time to buy. But renting for short use may be the better idea.
Employee travel means reimbursement for mileage. It’s up to over 50 cents each mile. That’s $50 daily for a 100 mile ride. A car rental from Dollar or Budget auto rental is only $20 each day, plus $12 for a few gallons of gas is still only $32 for that same 100 mile day. It makes sense, then, for companies to consider a Dollar car rental instead of having employees drive their own cars on business.
So when you making car rental comparisons you will almost aways discover that Dollar car rentals are the most competitive.
