There are many options available to people who primarily drive in urban environments. Town and city driving has become a cornerstone of any manufacturers business and they have rightly responded by releasing quality vehicles that have been designed with the express purpose of taming the often challenging driving conditions of the city.

Peugeot have received many plaudits for the new 107 which has been a popular and critically lauded model ever since it was released in this country. The modern and funky body design means that in any social situation, the Peugeot 107 is unlikely to let you down or make you a laughing stock in front of your friends.

The little Peugeot is also riding the zeitgeist of economically and ecologically sound motoring, providing its owner with high miles per gallon ratios and exceedingly impressive CO2 emissions. As far as the green set is concerned, the Peugeot 107 is a paean of the direction the automotive industry should be moving in.

So how does the little Peugeot perform? In simple terms, for its size, cost and performance; it is very difficult to beat.

 As it has been designed for the confines of the city, the Peugeot is at its best at low to mid revs, as this is where it is going to do the majority of its work. Rolling it out on the motorway will result in some audible complaining from the 1.0 Litre engine, and the 0-60 time of around 14 seconds isn’t going to win any drag-races, but for city driving its absolutely perfect.

I always thought that a city car’s priority should be that it is fun to drive, because driving in the city is the exact opposite of that.It should put that smile on your face when all around you is the doom and gloom of the rat race. With its nippy engine, cool looks and wallet-friendly costs, the little Peugeot 107 does exactly that.
