Is Paintless Dent Removal An Art?

In the last decade or so, the auto repair business has grown by leaps and bounds. As of today, a number of auto repair companies and shops use effective ways of dent repair including the pervasively used PDR technology or Paintless Dent Removal. However, most of the other auto repair companies stick to the old processes, which are costly and time consuming. As a result, the cost of car dent repairs has also risen considerably. Removing dents for your car at a local car repair shop can cost you easily a few hundred Pounds. If you multiply that by 4 or 5, which is the number of times your vehicle will get dented over time then you will end up paying anywhere between £200.00 and £700.00 annually. For something as small as a dent, that is definitely very pricey.

This is where PDR or paintless dent removal technology can be useful. In factual fact, Paintless dent removal is not really a technology; rather it is more of an art. Paintless dent removal has been in existence for quite some time by now, and it is a common choice for local auto dealerships for fixing used vehicles. The primary motive is to create revenue through used cars. The auto dealerships are able to save money and at the same time make the car look as it is brand new. A gleaming new exterior will any day bring in more money and hence these used cars get sold at higher prices than their real worth. The bottom line is that paintless dent removal is the mode of repairing small dings and dents by gently rubbing them out using metal bars, which are generally inserted and applied from behind.

The majority of the paintless dent removal specialists are trained specially in [usingthe use and application of] tools, that are similar to pry bars, mirrors, and special type of lights. They have to slowly rub the dent in such a way so that it goes back to its previous shape. Although this may sound as if it is a prehistoric way of dent repair but actually it is tremendously in saving money and repairing the dent or ding. The salient point is that the entire process takes not more than twenty to thirty minutes and the end result is quite amazing.

Steve Magill, who is the managing director of LVV Services Ltd., believes that the paintless dent removal process is a specialized art that will help save your money, time, and energy while at the same time efficiently and effectively repair the dents and dings for your vehicle.
