3. Find Out the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) – Try to get hold of this numbers and do a cross reference via the CarFax site. There, you can get to trace the history of the vehicle such as the registration date, ex owners and whether it was involved in a major accident.

4. Be Early – Being early gives you time to look at those impounded vehicles on display. This then gives you time to decide which are the ones you like to bid for.

5. Bring a Vehicle Expert – This can be a close friend or your regular car mechanic. He or she can provide tips and do a pre-bid check for any obvious problems. This can save you tons of money and frustration.
