Lexus in Russia

posted in Daves Blog |
I noticed some Lexus sales figures for Russia earlier which seemed to suggest that The Lex is making heavy weather of things in what is a booming market in mass-market and luxury segments. Lexus sales were up just 0.8% year-on-year to 2,705 units in the first quarter of the year. Mercedes-Benz car sales in Russia surged 65% to 15,300 units in 2007. And Lexus was up around 30% to 13,100 units - healthy looking growth. So why is Lexus flatlining in Russia this year? Is Lexus feeling the heat from Infiniti? Nice table in the below link.
