I see Tesla chairman Elon Musk has taken delivery of the first Tesla Roadster off the line (they're made by Lotus at its UK manufacturing base). That's a car to watch this year, for sure, as other high-profile people take delivery. If all goes to plan with the Roadster's rollout and initial market reaction, attention will undoubtedly turn to future models and also the possible involvement of some big players. Conditions could be right for an IPO quite soon.
